Make a night of it
More reasons to head into town after 5pm
STREET x STREET is a new evening series led by the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber, working with local businesses to create more reasons to visit and spend time in Wagga Wagga’s CBD after 5pm.
Each edition focuses on a different street, connecting existing businesses, venues and public spaces through extended trading, special offers, food, music and programmed activity.
The idea is simple. Start somewhere you know, try somewhere new and see where the night takes you.
The Chamber’s role
The Wagga Wagga Business Chamber is leading the project and coordinating the Business Collective behind STREET x STREET.
Our role includes bringing businesses and project partners together, coordinating the program, supporting participating businesses and overseeing the delivery and promotion of each edition.
For businesses, STREET x STREET is also an opportunity to test what evening trade could look like. This could mean staying open later, trying a new offer or giving customers another reason to come through the door.
The project is designed to build stronger coordination between businesses and learn what can create ongoing opportunities for Wagga Wagga’s CBD after 5pm.

STREET x STREET is funded by the NSW Government under the Regional Night-Time Economy Program and supported by Wagga Wagga City Council’s Major Events, Festivals and Films Sponsorship Fund.
The Wagga Wagga Business Chamber secured $200,000 through the Regional Night-Time Economy Program to lead the project with a Business Collective of local businesses.
The NSW Government program supports regional business collectives to work together on initiatives that develop their local economies from the day into the night.
